Billing Schedule

Columbia University bills for Term Charges—including tuition, fees, residential, and dining—at the beginning of each term. Payment for these primary term charges must be received by the Term Due Date listed below to avoid late fees and financial holds.

Note: Students residing in housing with an Occupancy Agreement; ONLY housing charges are due the first of the month as per your Occupancy Agreement.

*Late fees will be assessed on the balance as of the Term Due Date. 

For all activity occurring after the initial term billing, Student Financial Services issues periodic email notifications and statements. Outstanding balances or new charges, upon assessment, are due IMMEDIATELY. Late fees will be assessed on all outstanding balances as per the due dates on the periodic statements.
